New Officers will begin their term on September 1, 2005.
Goals for 2006:
Increase Trail Maintenance Involvement
Improve Communications - email, message board, newspapers, magazines, etc.
Develop Trail Maps to be the best trail resource for the region ( Chris Hohol has volunteered to help with this effort ).
Get another trailer for the NWGA Sorba Race Team
Explore availability of Grant Money to support NWGA Sorba's trail development efforts.
More Activities - Family Campout, Weekend Rides, Beginner's Clinics, Support and Participate in other Sorba Chapter Events
Increase Race Team activity/organization - training rides, more support at races, method for logging training
More Gatherings...maybe regular monthly meetings???
Hold a Board Meeting/Chapter Meeting in: Rome, LaFayette, and Ringgold
Work on Pigeon Mountain -get those trails opened up
Host SnakeCreek Gap Time Trials, a total of three trials in Jan, Feb, Mar with a possibly a Metric Century option in April
Host a road event either as a benefit or fundraiser and have it play off of the Tour de Georgia
Setup a booth at all Tour de Georgia stages and give out maps, info, and sell t-shirts, cow bells, etc.
Team and chapter picture - get everyone together at one time wearing their NWGA SORBA jerseys for web-site.
