Pinhoti - Pine Needle Hill bulldozed
« on: February 28, 2010, 08:57:53 PM »

There has been some fresh bulldozing on the backside of Pine Needle Hill as you are coming off of it, I used to be able to get some good speed on that section but not so much now.  When you get to the bottom where the Pinhoti takes a right turn the bulldozer path turns to the left, I can see some people following the bulldozer path on Saturday especially any newbies as it is just more visible.  The rest of the trail was in great shape.

Thanks for the heads up Bill, I'm sure Geri Geren will mark that spot!

Don't know about that.  But there is a tree down about 1/2 - 3/4 mile from the end of the first 17 (east side of Horn right before the cross over to SCG trailhead)  You can get under it if you duck but it is kind of rough ducking while riding over roots going downhill.

Hi David,

How big is the tree?  Can we remove with handsaw?

Thanks,

Conrad

 Conrad,

I am riding there at lunch tomorrow so I will carry my handsaw with me. If it is too big for a hand saw I'll let you know.

Later,
